WELCOME!
Thanks for stopping by The Clark Blog!
We will talk about everything from the news of the day, to random thoughts.  This is not a one-way conversation…I invite you to give me your thoughts on things I blog about, and things I don’t.  No topic is off limits!

BTW…disagreement is part of the game. But, please keep it clean. This is an all ages show!

Internet Access
Posted on 06/04 at 01:44 PM.

So I’m talking with producers about todays news lineups.  One of the stories we are working on is the fact South Carolina has one of the lowest rates in the nation when it comes to internet access.

While discussing this one of our college-aged interns remarks on how she doesn’t see how anyone can manage without the internet.

    Damn whippersnappers.

Listen, us old folks were able to survive without computers growing up.  I was out of college before the internet even became popular.  Heck we were still using typewriters when I came to work at News 2 in the Mid-90’s.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the internet.  I think it’s amazing the amount of information at my fingertips.  And sometimes I do wonder what I did before computers. I guess what I’m trying to saying is that the internet and computers aren’t a birthright for everyone, they are a luxury.

The internet isn’t the answer for everything, it just seems to have the answers for anything.
