Make no mistake about it.  The Governor Sanford scandal has just begun.

  Today the confession….tomorrow more details and questions.  The questions will be about whether the Governor used taxpayer money to fly to Argentina to see his mistress.  Will he resign as Governor?  What affect will it have on the Republican party?  Will he reconcile with his wife?  Does he really want to?

  The details are ugly.  Tommorrow e-mail exchanges between Sanford and the women he cheated with will be published.  It’s a relationship that’s been going on for years and you can already see the anti-Sanford sharks circling.

  Although I like him and respect his fight against stimulus money,  I really don’t see how the Governor can remain Governor and command the respect of the citizens of this state.  Some are already calling on him to relinquish his position as our state leader.

  For me, it all comes down to this:  His four boys.  I don’t feel as sorry for his wife because she knew about the adultery and actually told Sanford to get out of the house two weeks ago.  Those four poor children have to deal with this and hear about this.  They will get no privacy. 

  Time may heal all wounds, but it will certainly take alot of time for these to recover.
