DAY 5 in Juneau
Posted on 06/24 at 01:28 PM.

After a great day in Ketchikan, and a fun night on the ship…especially our Holiday Vacations cocktail party and dinner…it is Juneau time. We have a lot to see and do, including a trip to the world famous “Red Dog Saloon” This is where we are supposed to try a “Duck Fart!!“ I’ll tell you what that’s all about after we make it to the saloon (thanks for the tip PJ and Larry!!).  Juneau is Alaska’s 3rd largest city, and it’s capital. No Sarah Palin sightings yet!! It is one of the largest citites in the United States, covering 3100 square miles. Time to explore! Another day of chilly temps…it’s 47 degrees at 8am Alaska time (noon eastern), but at least it’s not raining.

COMMENTS

Looking forward to your explaination of “Duck Fart”.

Juneau didn’t look that big… there must be a lot of empty space in those city limits.
