Today (Tuesday…I have to do that to keep my days straight) is mainly a travel day as we now head for Alaska’s largest city, Anchorage. Along the way, we have a lunch stop in Wasilla, the hometown of the Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin. I hope she knows we are coming over for lunch!!!
We are also going to spend some time at the Iditarod Trail headquarters in Wasilla, where we will learn more about the annual Anchorage to Nome race. After another stop in Palmer, AK, it’s on to Anchorage for a couple of days and nights. Any restaurant suggestions? My friend Mark Jones says “Humpy’s” is the place!! Other suggestions are welcome!
