After a great final day of fellowship and fun, it was time to say goodbye. Before that, we had a wonderful trip to the Alaska Native Heritage Center where we saw how the Alaskan Indians lived. I really enjoyed the young Indians demonstrating the native dances and games played for centuries. Walking the grounds, we also experienced the homes they lived in, and some of the wildlife hunted for food and clothing. It was then time to head to the Sea Galley for our farewell lunch, and boy, did we eat!!!
Unfortunately, what awaited us was a long 6 hour overnight flight from Anchorage to Detroit, and then on to Charleston. It was a long first flight, but we made it, and as of the writing of this blog, we are awaiting our flight home to Charleston.
It was a great trip, with fantastic memories which will last forever!
