Up and at ‘em early this morning as I make my way to the headquarters of Baron Services in Huntsville, Alabama. Baron is the company which makes our StormTeam2 Live VIPIR radar system. This workshop I am attending is to learn about some new products coming out in the future, in addition to making sure we are utilizing all of VIPIR’s resources currently. Continuing education is so important in many fields….weather forecasting is no different. In addition to learning, I am also going to be teaching. I am scheduled to give a presentation on how we (Channel 2) are embracing the social media (i.e. Facebook and Twitter…among others) and using it to give out and receive vital information, especially when it comes to weather. Will continue to update my blog, and send pictures back during this trip.
