We have an exciting day planned today. We got a quick glimpse of Lake Tahoe driving in yesterday, but today we will get up close and personal with this beautiful body of water. We will board a paddleboat later this morning….yes, we are 3 hours behind you guys back home. We will spend some time traveling around the lake, and I will make sure I snap as many photos as my body will allow….you see, it’s Cold here…and the winds are whipping around at a pretty good clip. I hear there is an open observation deck on the boat to take pictures, but also an enclosed heated area as well. After the boat tour and lunch, we will board the bus for the 5 hour trip to San Francisco. For me and many others on this trip, this will be the first trip to San Fran.
We are certainly excited. I know our big excitement last night was a bed which did not move, and a nice, long hot shower!!!! The train trip was a blast, but sleeping and showering was not like home.
