
The Washington Times is reporting that state lawmakers are considering whether to convene a special session to deal with an impeachment of Governor Mark Sanford.
Repbulicans in the State House are getting together in Myrtle Beach for their annual retreat. Rep. Gary Simrill told the Times, Sanford’s future will be discussed, and added that a special impeachment session could be convened before the regular session begins in January.
Simrill also said in that Washington Times article, that there are two bills of impeachment already being prepared. One by a Republican, and one by a Democrat.
