With all of the automotive news lately surrounding bankruptcy and bailouts…I actually saw a car dealer smile today!

Robert Crews, owner of Saturn of Charleston says he’s thrilled by the announcement that Roger Penske Automotive Group aquired Saturn today, preserving the brand.

According to a news release sent out by Saturn of Charleston, the dealership has been the top selling Saturn retailer in the southeast region for the last five years.

“Admittedly, we are very excited, and somewhat relieved, that the Saturn Brand will continue,” said Crews.  “Our Team here in Charleston has worked very hard to treat customers the right way and to be an integral part of the community. GM has given Saturn the freshest, safest and most fuel efficient line up in the industry, and now we have the way to continue.”

Great news for the employees, and for North Charleston…that’s one less business we need to worry about losing!
