WELCOME!
Thanks for stopping by The Franko Blog!
We will talk about everything from the news of the day, to random thoughts.  This is not a one-way conversation…I invite you to give me your thoughts on things I blog about, and things I don’t.  No topic is off limits!

BTW…disagreement is part of the game. But, please keep it clean. This is an all ages show!

Several people emailed.

I took a number of calls…some of them down right nasty.

They all wondered why we “put them in a state of panic” over Hanna.

Fact of the matter, Hanna had very little impact on the Lowcountry…but when forecasters at the National Hurricane Center put us in the now infamous, cone of uncertainty, it’s our job to make sure you are prepared for the possibility.

This provided us all the chance to see if we’re ready…individually and as a community for a storm.

I don’t know about you, but I found out I didn’t have enough, or the right insurance to cover some recent home improvements.

Our government, which to be frank isn’t usually what we think of when it comes to efficiency, executed it’s plan…and to me it seemed like everybody was on the same page.  I’m pretty confident that this was a pretty good ‘dry run’ for a storm season that still has three months to go.
