WELCOME!
Thanks for stopping by The Franko Blog!
We will talk about everything from the news of the day, to random thoughts.  This is not a one-way conversation…I invite you to give me your thoughts on things I blog about, and things I don’t.  No topic is off limits!

BTW…disagreement is part of the game. But, please keep it clean. This is an all ages show!

It’s a lot of hogwash, and to be honest I don’t understand a lot of the language because it’s legal jargon. Click here for a better explanation of some of these.

You can check it out yourself, [Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 ] but as I’m sure you are aware, there are provisions in this newly passed bill for wooden arrows for children, income from the Exxon Valdez oil spill, race track owners, and more.

Keep in mind this bill went from three or four pages, to 400+ in a matter of days.

I don’t know about you, but it reeks of politics to me. Remember, our “representatives” had a ‘do or die’ attitude about this…and then they played the, “I’ll vote for it if you give me this” game.

So, do you buy this thing, or are you like me…holding your nose?

asking the gov.to fix the problem is stupid. all they (a dem. led congress) want to do is have more control over all aspects of our lives. the last thing they need is more control over OUR money. if you love the USA please do not put more libs in DC, we can’t take it.

On a different note, I hope you have had a good vacation and are rested and ready to come back to work!  smile

Yep, our government hard at work.  Take a simple yes or no question of do we provide bailout money and turn it into things that do not relate to the economy such as the mental health insurance “sweetner” to it.  Thanks for looking out for us Washington.

I don’t think you will get a ton of argument on that point Art…seems to be the prevailing feeling among most taxpayers!  I just added link to a better explanation of the hogwash they put in the bill.

@BradFranko I think there is a 5,000 dollar (max of 50k) for every question unanswered. I'm pretty sure I heard that somewhere.

@BradFranko thanks for explaining. Whether we agree or not with the reason, it's nice to understand why the decision was made.
