Reading some of the comments about the president speaking to our students, it is plainly clear…the speech has nothing to do with the discourse.

There are some very lucid, well presented arguments on both sides. However, most of what I am reading is blind partisanship…period.

I encourage you to read the entire speech, before launching your debate.

For those of you charging that this is a Socialist agenda, keep in mind Presidents Reagan, and H.W. Bush also addressed America’s students.  They too were met with critics for doing so.

And, on the other side, releasing the transcript when the media first started asking for it, would have likely prevented a lot of the outrage.

I am going to check out some of these protests today to see what the story is.
