WELCOME!
Thanks for stopping by The Franko Blog!
We will talk about everything from the news of the day, to random thoughts.  This is not a one-way conversation…I invite you to give me your thoughts on things I blog about, and things I don’t.  No topic is off limits!

BTW…disagreement is part of the game. But, please keep it clean. This is an all ages show!

Pit bulls and families don’t mix

It has happened again, this time here in the Lowcountry.  A pit bull mauled and killed a two-year-old boy in the backyard of his grandmother’s home in Summerville.

I just can’t for the life of me understand why anyone would bring an animal like that into their home.

There are people who will say pit bulls are a product of their environment…to them I ask, when was the last time a Golden Retriever mauled a person?  I am sure there are isolated incidents, but pit bull attacks appear to be far more pervasive.  There is a reason Michael Vick used pit bulls for his dogfighting ring, and it wasn’t for their gentle nature.
