Governor Mark Sanford is bent on defending himself against accusations he misused state money for expensive travel.

According to The Palmetto Scoop, Sanford sent letters to Clemson, The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), and the University of South Carolina, requesting information on how school officials used state funded planes.
According to the article, Sanford’s people want the universities to comply by Sept. 8th.
The big question now is…will this really take the heat off him if these officials did the same thing?
