I just finished taping an episode of the Savage Report and questioned Andy about defending accused terrorist Ali al-Marri.

Without giving away too much, I along with Tony Bartelme of the Post and Courier questioned Andy about the case which just ended in al-Marri being sentenced to eight years in prison.

al-Marri could have received 15 years, but Savage argued successfully for the judge to take into account al-Marri’s time at the Brig in Charleston where he stayed for several years without being charged.

Savage also laid out the case, that al-Marri endured some pretty harsh conditions, including isolation, sleeping on a metal rack, and a cold cell.
