In this new age of apologizing for being an American, it’s time to reclaim our pride. 

Start by hanging a flag on your front porch.

I mentioned this to a friend of mine who said, “I can’t…the homeowners association has a ban on hanging any kind of flag”.

After I picked up my jaw from the floor, completely dismayed by his willingness to accept that, I told him to hang it anyway!  It’s the American Flag for cryin’ out loud. If any homeowners association levies a fine for hanging the “Stars and Stripes”, I will show up at their front door with a camera and a bucket of shame for all of the Lowcountry to cast upon them!

So if you’re in that situation…hang that flag, and fly it proudly. If you get, so much as a letter, warning you to take it down…call me, and we will work to get that rule changed!

BTW…my buddy…hung a flag, and so far, not a peep from the HOA.
