For the next two weeks, fans will be able to see the transformation of RiverTowne Country Club, the host course of the secondannual Ginn Tribute hosted by ANNIKA, through a webcam placed on the roof of the clubhouse.

After a brilliant 15-year professional career that saw her re-write the record book in women’s golf, Annika Sorenstam announced today that she will be stepping away from competitive play at the conclusion of the 2008 LPGA season.

The Ginn Tribute Hosted by ANNIKA is offering its fans a stellar opportunity to follow his or her favorite LPGA star up close and enjoy their personalities in a more relaxed and intimate setting before the tournament’s intense, 72-hole competition takes place the ensuing four days.

Ashleigh Simon of South Africa has accepted a sponsor’s exemption to the second-annual Ginn Tribute Hosted by ANNIKA.

The $2.6 million Ginn Tribute hosted by ANNIKA will be played for the second-consecutive year at RiverTowne Country Club in Charleston, S.C., May 26-June 1, 2008, with inaugural champion Nicole Castrale looking to defend her title.

The Ginn Tribute Hosted by ANNIKA has announced its new tournament director.  Becky Newell, of Georgia, has joined the IMG staff and will run the second-annual event hosted by LPGA and World Golf Hall of Famer Annika Sorenstam.  The $2.6 million event will take place once again at the RiverTowne Country Club in Charleston, S.C., May 26-June 1, 2008.
