WELCOME!
Welcome to Mic Check!

Usually when you see me on the news, I try to be right down the middle but here it ‘s all fair game. If I think someone’s going to get the boot, I’ll say it. If a team isn’t doing well and is going down hill fast, I’ll say that too.

This is also your chance to interact with me. So if something is on your mind, let me know and we’ll chat about it.

Well that was that.

The Rays didn’t have it in them to take all three from the Aces this week. It was a great run and it would have been nice to see them do it at home.

In one of the last entries, I kind of called y’all out to support the team. I have to say, you guys answered the challenge. The North Charleston Coliseum was rocking Saturday night and it was because of you.

The series is not over yet and the Rays are still in control. It’s going to be tough but I still think they can pull it out in 6.

Other notes from last night: I had a chance to watch game 5 with some pretty good company. Team President Daren Abot, Lyon Messier, and the legend himself Mark Messier. We were charging batteries by Mark’s feet. I have to admit, I never in my life thought I’d ever say, “Mark, could you please move so I can get my battery.“

I felt bad for Lyon a bit. He was left off the playoff roster this year and has had watch the postseason from the photographer box upstairs. Some nights he’s been understandably grouchy but over all, he’s a pretty cool guy. In fact last night, I called him out on singing the words to Lady Gaga’s “Poker face.“

Hockey players: They are closet divas.
