Can you believe the difference between now and 6 months ago?  Remember December and how it seemed like Mother Nature was never going to turn off the faucet?  Well, March, April, and May have been a far cry from December.

Check out the numbers.  After a fairly wet January and February, our rainfall deficit since January 1 is about a half inch below average.  But since March 1, we are about two and a half inches below average.  That is the number that has me nervous.  Our water table has taken a significant hit over the past 60 days.  It’s time to get some more rain in here.  We need to get those lakes full and those fields green before summer.
