Hanna has some pretty nasty thunderstorms near the center of the storm right now… some indications are the cloud heights could be over 50,000 feet… that is big!!! Max. winds are still near 70 mph with some higher gusts, and it appears to be knocking on the door of becoming a minimal hurricane…
What a day! Three different tracks from the National Hurricane Center, and one was kind of bad for us with the center coming right through the heart of the Lowcountry… Luckily for us that shifted away again by the 5PM advisory, but that’s bad news for the folks up the coast… The good thing is this storm is not a powerful one and should cause minimal damage…
The wind will continue to pick up tonight with max. gusts in the Lowcountry between 50 and 60 mph if the storm stays on its current forecast track…
Ya’ll have a good night and I’ll see you in the morning! Yes… we have a Sat. AM newscast this weekend because of Hanna. We start at 7am and end at 9am…
