| Solution to health crisis: Eat less junk |
Remember the posters from the elementary school cafeteria, "You are what you eat"? Well, I think those posters should should be revamped to read "It's not your metabolism, it's your McDonalds"! It is unpopular to bring up weight, but obesity is costing the American system $147 billion dollars a year. We need to put down the junk and jump on the treadmill. |

I recently received a letter from my buddies at the catholic church on Folly Beach. It brought tears to my eyes and a smile to my heart. I wanted you to read it too. Here goes; |

| Bottoms up before my bottom goes too far down! |
I have gained at least 10 pounds of fat this summer...what happened you ask? Well, I kept my diet clean but I forgot about good ole H20. I have been leaving my water bottle at home, in the car, on my desk, at the gym, at the park, in the yard, inside of the mailbox...you get the picture. So the bottom line is my bottom retains water when I am not consuming enough water. So grab a bottle of water without the additives and extras and chug-a-lug. |

| Dads and daughters |
The new screensaver on my laptop makes me smile every time I look at it. The picture of my husband and our daughter, one of my best friend's husband and their daughter speaks to me and the world. It proves that there are dads who understand that by spending time with their daughters these girls are more likely to become physically and emotionally healthier. Dads can do everything moms can do, but they do it with bigger shoulders for their little girls to sit on. |
