WELCOME!
Thanks for stopping by The Murray Blog!

We will talk about everything from the news of the day, to random thoughts.  This is not a one-way conversation…I invite you to give me your thoughts on things I blog about, and things I don’t.  No topic is off limits!

BTW…disagreement is part of the game. But, please keep it clean. This is an all ages show!

A little “sugar” no longer a gentle kiss!
Posted on 01/07 at 10:34 PM.

Sometimes we can sabotage the most important meal of the day by waking up to an overload of sugar, like with Pop-Tarts or muffins. You want to make sure that your breakfast is low in sugar and high in protein and fiber. This will keep you full for longer so that making it to lunchtime is no problem. Products like granola bars, juice and cereal can be very high in sugar. Healthier options are eggs or oatmeal. So next time you’re at the grocery store, make sure you check the back of the box for the sugar levels in your breakfast foods.

Hi Dolly, you know it’s someone from your childhood when you’re called Dolly. Cynthia sends her love also. Dolly I need your help in trying to get the word out for relief to Haiti. My job has appointed me to organize a relief effort for Haiti. My idea is to send no less than a container truck full of bottled water, through donations from our students and neighboring communities. The Trident Literacy T.C. Drayton Center AT 472-E-Meeting Street as well as our main office 5416 suite B Rivers Avenue N. Chas., Goose Creek office 509 Redbank Road, Summerville office 622 Bacons Bridge Road (Good will Industries Bldg), Tri County Community Center, Poplar Hill Drive, in Cross, 325 East Main Street (United Way Building) Moncks Corner, N.Chas., Celebration Station on Rivers Avenue, and the Accabbee Neighborhood Community Center sites will be accepting donations of water no matter how ling it takes. The NEED will be there for awhile. I will appreciate any attentation that you give to this urgent matter.
