Nettie Washington Douglass, the great-great-granddaughter of abolitionist and orator Frederick Douglass and the great-granddaughter of educator and author Booker T. Washington.
She is the heir of two of the most important men in American history. This coming Saturday, June 13, I will have an opportunity to speak with the 66 year old mother and grandmother about the legacy of her fathers and her desires for her own family.
