A story that we are airing tonight highlights how dangerous fireworks can be. A Savannah woman tells our sister station, WSPA about how her son lost the sight in his left eye. The fireworks that caused the damage surprised me.

Swimming lessons by law….
State Rep. Wendell Gilliard has introduced a bill that requires most schools in South Carolina to provide swimming lessons. It DOES have some stipulations, but based on the current wording, it appears that almost all school districts in the state would be part of this.

Actor David Carradine found dead in Bangkok. My grandmother met him on the set of "North and South" when it was being filmed in Charleston. He was one of the nicest people she met there.
