Man wanted for 2 incidents involving children
The story about the man who tried to talk an 8 year old girl into his car seems to be growing a bit in the last few days. I answered a phone call from a woman who told me she might have a tip.

Thanks for all the things you do to help folks in need!
Working in this business doesn't pay a lot, but it does give you opportunities to help others. While I personally don't have the money to help with many of the needs in the state of South Carolina, through the station I can let you know what those needs are.

Banks need money because they can’t make their pymts, then foreclose on others who can’t make pymts
I don't usually comment on other blogs here at News 2, but in this case, I have to. Brad Franko over at the Franko Blog put together perhaps the best title for a blog I've seen in awhile.

Hate to bring up more bad news, but unemployment in SC now at 8%
The new unemployment rate for South Carolina is at 8 percent. Fortunately for us here in the lowcountry, the tri-county ranks near the bottom of this list.

Bad economy means a GREAT VACATION for DIRT CHEAP
We were talking about how the economy has really been hurting tourism. Disney announced 7 nights for the price of 4 at Disney World. An area I personally enjoy, the Smoky Mountains has been hurting a bit, according to friends I have who work in the tourism industry in Sevier county Tennessee. Well, that had me thinking about the price of a cruise.

Election Tuesday Night
Tuesday will be a huge night no matter what happens. Whether Obama/Biden or McCain/Palin wins, history will be made. I've spoken with some local politicans who tell me there could be surprises in some of the local races as well.

If the Globe is warming, how do you explain this?
I get regular emails from one of the best newsmen in the business, Al Tompkins. He sends out regular stories that those of us in the business might find interesting. This morning, he sent out an email with an interesting question. I thought you might like to read these as well... If We are Warming, Why are Alaska Glaciers Growing?
