We love Social, have been on several occasions. The staff are wonderful, the wine flights varied & interesting, the food is not the fanciest in Charleston but better than most town's worst! We have never experienced any unbecoming patrons or behaviour in our many visits. Please don't be dissuaded by one customer's experience which, sadly, can happen anwhere in the South!

I visited your establishment for the first time this weekend and was involved in an incident that can only be described as disrespect. My guest and I were verbally abused by a racist customer and requested some assistance by the management who informed me of two things. That they cannot control others (meaning who enter and exits their establishment) and were they still in the building, because we could look for them. They had ample time to leave after the incident because staff seemed unaware of what was happening. We are women who were looking to experience a premier establishment in Charleston, and were sorely disappointed. We are classy enough to not show negativity or retaliation against the other patron, and we requested our check and left immediately. We feel that Social should be more aware of the caliber of individuals that you allow into your establishment. I have lived and worked in Charleston for over 6 years and in South Carolina all of my life and have never experienced what I did this past weekend.
