A LITTLE ABOUT SEARCH ENGINES
As with many search engines, sometimes finding what you want may not be as easy as you want.
You're probably asking yourself "Why do I not get the results I'm looking for when I type in a keyword?". The answer is simple, sometimes the individual that entered in their listing information may have spelled a name differently than what you did. For example, you're looking for "Market Street", but the listing is listed as "Market St" thus not returning the exact listing.
Yes, we could have set the search engine to look for any combination of keywords, but you would get more results than you expected. For example, if you searched for "water's edge", you would get any listing that had water or edge in it such as "Rutledge, edgewater, etc.".
By keeping our Where 2 Dine search engine precise, you get better results for what you are looking for.
TIPS FOR FINDING WHAT YOU WANT
Here is a couple of hot tips to find EXACTLY what you want with little effort.
Enter single words such as "Deli" if you're looking for Deli's.
Use zip codes for areas that you are looking to go; this will prevent listings outside of your preference.
Be specific if you're looking for something specific such as "Cypress" or "Noisy Oyster".
Use quotation marks to find exact phrases. For example, if you are looking for East Bay St, type in "East Bay St" with the quotation marks. This will prevent places with the name East Bay from displaying.
A SPECIAL NOTE
Most of our listings (approx. 95%) use the abbreviation "St" for "Street". If you are looking for a street name, do not use the full name (i.e. Street); simply use St as in "King St".
Also, most lists that pertain to navigation (North, East, South or West) are listed as the first letter. For example, if you are looking for all places on East Bay St, you would simply type in "E Bay St" in the search field.
