Hello, My 42 inch plasma stopped working the last week of April 2009. I contacted the manufacturer (LG) and they referred us to Protronics TV as their authorized warranty shop. We were 6 months out of warranty, but LG has agreed to pay both labor and parts for repair. We dropped the TV off at protronics on May 4, 2009. Protronics has claimed non receipt of authorization for parts/labor warranty authorization. LG claims they sent him it back on May 26, 2009. Received a call from repair shop last night claiming we owe them $230 for labor. I immediately called LG to clear this up. They reiterated that the warranty IS for parts/labor. They tried calling repair shop with me on hold and was unable to contact anyone. I received a call from the repair shop this morning and the gentlemen was very nasty with my husband. He immediately called LG after this exchange and the cs rep assured us they wi!
ll call/fax repair shop today to straighten this outt. I am so worried that we will never get our TV back and if we do it will be in terrible shape. I feel like this shop is trying to collect labor from both me as the consumer and LG as the manufacturer. If this repair shop keeps claiming non-receipt of warranty authorization from LG what do I do? Any ideas are welcome. We have been very patient up to this point and we feel helpless now. Also may I add this repair shop has awful customer service, only answers they phone when they feel like it, and does not return phone calls. Thanks for your time…if you cannot provide a solution at least I was able to vent.
