Wellness Wednesday: the great water bottle debate
Posted on 10/14 at 09:47 AM.

My mom has asked me for the past several months to please not reuse plastic water bottles. I want to be earth-friendly so I always reused a plastic container of bottled water until I leave it somewhere or it starts to smell funny! (ha ha).

Well, I finally called my mom this weekend to tell her I bought a new BPA-free water bottle! There’s all this talk about possible harmful chemicals in plastic water bottles that can cause cancer and major health effects. I was checking out an article about how the FDA doesn’t think it’s that harmful despite some findings by the CDC. Pretty interesting. I’m not a scientist, but do feel better about my bottle saying “BPA Free” on the side. Although, the article says that Nalgene won’t fully disclose what’s in the alternative product they use. Great…are we ever safe?

We can die at any minute, but I will do what I can to be as healthy as possible.
